Jada'an, a young Yazidi child, was one of 15 children rescued from ISIS' last stronghold of Baghouz in eastern Syria in March. However, after spending five years under the clutches of ISIS, he is struggling to reintegrate into his community.
The Iraqi Central Government has begun implementing its order to remove customs checkpoints between the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and other Iraqi cities. Baghdad has also added that no taxes are to be levied on the goods on their way to central and southern Iraq.
Dr Nagham Nawzat, a Yazidi gynecologist, has provided life-saving support to around 1,200 Yazidi women enslaved by ISIS. Dr. Nawzat is a volunteer at the Duhok Survivors Centre, where she provides health services to the women.

After the liberation of their areas from ISIS, the Ezidis in Nineveh Province are rebuilding their holiest temple, the Temple of Lalish. The reconstruction initiative was led by the Ezidis spiritual leader Baba Chawish and funded by private donors and Ezidi charities.
