Mosul: 250 ISIS captives used as human shields as humanitarian situation worsens

Iraqi security forces claim that ISIS have kidnapped 250 civilians from Wadi Hajar, south of Mosul.

In the west of the city, Iraqi forces have succeed in liberating the villages of Yassin Halbous and Tal Maydan as they advance towards Tal Abta.

This comes at a time where over one million people living in Mosul find it increasingly difficult to access food supplies, medicine and water.

Meanwhile in the east of the city, Iraqi forces have liberated the Noor neighborhood after completing the first stage of military operations.
