Libyan prisoner under ISIS recounts psychological torture

In this video, a Libyan man talks about the barbaric physical and psychological torture he suffered while he was held by ISIS in Sirte prior to their expulsion.

“Others would get beaten, and they would make us listen to their voices to scare us.”

This is yet another example of ISIS’s psychotic interrogation and punishment methods. Sirte has now been completely liberated from ISIS control, with minor pockets of militants still potentially present in the city.

Government of National Accord (GNA) forces recently destroyed 200 tonnes of explosives gained from ISIS after retaking the vast majority of the city, freeing many prisoners who suffered a similar fate to the man who paid testament in the video.
