At least six bomb blasts struck Kirkuk city on Thursday night, killing 6 and injuring 19 people, with the death toll expected to rise.
SULAIMANI – At least six bomb blasts rocked Kirkuk city on Thursday night (May 30).
NRT Digital Media reporter Omed Muhammad said that the blasts took place over a 20-minute period on the Kirkuk-Baghdad road, leaving six people dead and nineteen wounded.
“Four of the bombs were improvised explosive devices and the other two were booby-trapped vehicles. Two booby-trapped vehicles were defused by police,” Muhammad reported.
“The Baghdad Road and Quds Street are the busiest places in Kirkuk during Ramadan and Eid.”
The death toll is expected to rise.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
