The United Nations Envoy to Libya, Ghassan Salame, met with the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing clashes in the Libyan capital Tripoli.
During the Human Fraternity Conference in Abu Dhabi, the Arab League's Secretary-General, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, said that the growing level of intolerance in the world needs to be combatted by teaching children inclusivity.

In a joint Iraq/UAE effort in cooperation with UNESCO, the plans to rebuild the al-Nouri Mosque and the Hadbaa Minaret in Mosul have been announced. The reconstruction will take 5 years and cost about $50 million dollars. The UAE has pledged to donate that amount for the process.
