On Tuesday, the Iraqi Joint Operations Command announced that the Iraqi military has conducted airstrikes against ISIS in Syria's Deir ez-Zour Province, which led to the killing of at least 40 ISIS militants.
On Thursday, Iraqi Federal Police Command announced the killing of 18 Islamic State members in an operation which was carried out by ISF in Qurret Goukh mountains, east of Nineveh. The operation also resulted in many ISIS explosives being seized.
On Wednesday, the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced that the Federal Police have arrested three ISIS members in Kirkuk and Salahuddin provinces. These ISIS arrests are part of a wider operation by the Iraqi Security Forces to rid the country from ISIS sleeper cells, dormant in throughout the provinces.
Brigadier General Hamad Names al-Jubouri, a commander in the Nineveh Police Command, announced on Sunday that a senior leader in the Islamic State was killed by a tribesman in West Mosul. The killed militant, Abu Aisha al-Turkmani, was the Islamic State's Wali in the Baaj area.
