In response to Turkey’s Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria, the Egyptian parliament hosted Syrian Ambassador to Egypt Bassam Darwish in a move to show its official support for Syria against Turkey, and as a prelude to better diplomatic relations.
The "10 Organisation" has set up a psychosocial support program for school students in the city of Barakat in the southwestern district of Ghat in Libya. The organisation also brought a team of specialised doctors to to alleviate the residents' suffering.
The United Nations with the support of local partners in Libya have organised training workshops to teach cadres from the cities of Tawergha and Misrata psychological and psychosocial support methods. The cadres will then be a part of a centre which delivers psychological support to locals in the two cities.
The Department of Psychological Support and Counseling in the Ministry of Education organised a workshop in Sibrata entitled "Our Success Is for You" in order to train teachers and provide them with psychological counseling.
Female activists in Diyala organised an event which seeks to support orphans and provide training courses for young men and women seeking jobs such as hairdressing and sowing. The activists say that their initiative is not backed by any political party.
Due to the horrors that they witnessed during ISIS' rule over Mosul, many residents developed psychological disorders despite them escaping the city. Doctors are attempting to treat many patients, however, the sheer number of patients makes it hard to give them full treatment.
