Political rivals in Iraq have agreed on the program of the designated Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi. The proposed program focusses heavily on developing the economy and diversifying away from oil. The new government is expected to be in place within two weeks.
The Information Office of the Speaker of the Council of Representatives said in a statement, on Wednesday that Kuwait's parliament speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim extended an official invitation to the Iraqi speaker of parliament, Mohammed al-Halbusi, to visit Kuwait.
