Several NGOs and local government are helping residents in two Tripoli neighborhoods to overcome years of animosity and hostilities between them, and progress has been made, but more governmental assistance is needed to pull them out of crisis.
Turkey has backed the establishment of a department of motor vehicles (DMV) in al-Bab in the Euphrates Shield area, where all vehicles will be registered and inspected to ensure road safety. The license plates are in Arabic and Turkish, as they are Turkish-made and sent over to the vehicle registration department.
The construction of health facilities in the north of Syria has been a top priority during periods of peace. In al-Bab a new hospital will be opening soon which treats all cases that were previously transferred to Turkish Hospitals. However, the adminstation complains that professional cadres are hard to find.
