ISIS propaganda is on the backfoot as it suffers losses in Iraq and Syria

According to a recent study, the number of ISIS’s media publications has dropped from 700 to less than 200 between August 2015-16. This comes after the recent death of “Dr Wa’il” (otherwise known as Wa’il Adil Hasan Salman al-Fayad), who was the group’s propaganda chief.

The group’s online regression is compounded by sustained losses in Syria and Iraq. Recently, ISIS was pushed out of Dabiq and the efforts to liberate Mosul have just begun.
